Louisiana Takes On Macon For Courtwarming

Louisiana High School held Courtwarming coronation between the games against Macon on Friday, Feb. 3. Crowned king and queen were Phillip Francis and Samantha Henderson. The court included (not pictured): Hannah Blackmore, Remington Feldewerth, Marin Powers, Isaac King, Olivia Capstick, Michael Francis, Ally Cross, Emmet Deacon, Hunter Feldewerth, Hayley Martin, Katelyn Watts, Isaac Shade, Kejt Rexhepi and Bryan Grant. The Louisiana Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs faced off with Clarence Cannon Conference rival Macon in the Courtwarming games on Friday, Feb. 3.

The girls fell 53-26 while the boys picked up a commanding 68-40 victory. Courtwarming coronation was held between games.

The Lady Bulldogs got off to a rough start with Macon on Friday, falling behind 25-10 after the first quarter and 34-14 at halftime.

Kyjiah Clark led the way with 9 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. Raelee Burse had 5 points, 5 rebounds, an assist and a steal. Kejt Rexhepi had 4 points and 2 rebounds. Kamara Combs had 4 points and a rebound, Jasmin Burse had 3 points and a rebound and Samantha Henderson had a point, a rebound, 2 assists and a steal.

Stats for the boy’s game were not available as of press time.

The Lady Bulldogs fell to Highland 68-34 last week. Clark led the way with 12 points, Raelee Burse had 5, Jasmin Burse and Combs each had 4, Henderson had 3, Brianna St. Clair, De’Mechia Campbell and Michelle Watts each had 2.

Louisiana teams will travel to Canton tonight (Tuesday). The boys will travel to Winfield on Thursday and the teams will host Palmyra on Friday. Also on Friday will be the inaugural induction of four individuals and one team into the Louisiana Athletic Hall of Fame between games.
