Shramek Arrested On Two Charges

On Saturday, Feb. 11 Vandalia police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Olive for a vehicle that failed to use turn signals.

Officers made contact with the vehicle after it stopped at a residence. The vehicle was occupied by two male subjects.

The passenger of the vehicle was identified as; Steven Shramek, 39, of Vandalia. Shramek was uncooperative and interfered with the investigation at the scene. Shramek was placed under arrest and transported to the Vandalia Police Department where he was processed and later released on summons for resisting/interfering with arrest and given a date to appear in Audrain County Court.
