Alexsondra Jurotich

Alexsondra M. Ziegler Jurotich, 26, of Lake St. Louis died unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at the Progress West Hospital in O’Fallon.

Funeral services were Saturday at 3 p.m., at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia. Pastor Mark Dumas officiated. Interment of her cremains will take place at a later date.

Visitation was Saturday from 1-3 p.m., at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia.

She was born Sept. 1, 1990 in Maui, Hawaii, the daughter of Daniel Paul Ziegler and Mary Elizabeth Neville. She married Joshua Edward Jurotich on May 4, 2014 in Wentzville.

Survivors include her mother, Mary and her fiancĂ©, Byron Lipe of Gramling, S.C.; father, Daniel of Minnesota; husband, Josh of Lake St. Louis; uncle, John Neville of San Antonio, Texas; two aunts, Michelle Siegmund of Westminster, S.C., and Regina Bryant of Corpus Christi, Texas; mother and father-in-law, Laura and Ed Jurotich of Wentzville; Josh’s grandparents, Frank and Judy Jurotich of Rolla and Wayne Stewart of Curryville.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; and grandmother, Maxine Stewart.

Alex attended school through the sixth grade on the island of Maui, Hawaii. She then attended and graduated in 2008 from Wentzville High School. Alex was a Catholic by faith. After high school, she attended Spartanburg Tech in South Carolina and then transferred to Greenville Tech where she received her associate’s degree in baking and pastry. Recently, she had been working in the bakery at the Dierberg’s Store in Wentzville. Alex also had a side business called Cakes by Alexsondra.

She enjoyed baking, board and video games, arts and crafts, soccer, and basketball.

Honorary pallbearers were Tim Preall, Tyler Preall, Jeff Hampton, Clark Baldwin, Andrew (Bell) Burkett, Paul Brown and Peter Daniels.
