Charles E. ‘Chuck’ Korte

Charles E. “Chuck” Korte, 61, of Kansas City, Kan., died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

A memorial service and burial of his cremains will be held at a later date.

He was born June 21, 1955 in Louisiana to Leonard and Florence Korte.

He is survived also by his very good friend and significant other, Jan Jordan, of Leavenworth, Kan.; along with siblings, Carol Branstetter and husband, Jim of Ironton, Alice Wright and husband, Sonny of Vandalia, Jane Trower and husband, Jim of St. Charles, Laura Vandelicht and husband, Jim, Bowling Green, Paul Korte, Carterville, Dennis Korte and wife, Linda of Sedalia, Clyde Korte and wife, Vickie of Bowling Green, and Mark Korte of Choteau, Mont.; and also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leonard W. (Sonny) Korte.

Chuck attended school at St. Clement Elementary School, Bowling Green High School, and Linn Tech.

After graduating Linn Tech, Chuck moved to Kansas City, Kan., area. He worked as a large building construction draftsman his entire career.

Chuck enjoyed visiting with family, playing guitar, piano and drums. He also was an avid photographer of anything in nature and studied astronomy.

The family requests no memorials.
