Sonya ‘Cricket’ Louise Everhart Bates
Sonya “Cricket” Louise Everhart Bates, 38 of Whiteside, formerly of Bowling Green went to be with our Lord on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at her home in Whiteside.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m., at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home with Eric Brotherton officiating. Burial will follow at Ashley Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Sonya was born Sept. 15, 1978 in Hannibal, to Kenneth and Sandra Perkins Everhart of Bowling Green. She married Carl Bates on May 1, 2010 in Moscow Mills. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Wyatt Bates of Warrenton; and daughter, Faith Bates of Warrenton; her parents; a brother, Shawn Everhart and wife, Marianne of Bowling Green; one sister, Margie Harrell of Troy, niece and nephews, Ethan Everhart of Bowling Green; Kenzee, Landon, Quentin and Jackson of Troy; brothers by heart, Brent Moore and wife, Jessica of Little Elm, Texas, Chris Grote and wife, Jennifer of Bowling Green and Todd Moore and wife, Debra of Bowling Green; grandfather, Junior Robertson and many aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles Everhart, Alan and Mae Hodge; maternal grandparents, Harvey Perkins and Margie Perkins Robertson; aunts Rhonda Burton and Mary Sue Perkins and uncle, Junior Burton.
Sonya graduated Bowling Green High School in 1997 and continued her education at College of the Ozarks. She worked many years as a 911 dispatcher in Lincoln County, but was currently working for PPG Industries at the GM Factory in Wentzville.
She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Her family and friends were her life. She spent many years spoiling her niece and nephews and dedicating herself to making a home for her husband and children.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Everhart, Chris Grote, Todd Moore, Brent Moore, Kevin Bates and Kenny Bates. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Everhart, Landon Harrell, Quentin Harrell, Jackson Harrell, Wyatt Bates and Cletis Webb.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
