Doris Ann Bushman

Doris Ann Bushman, 73, of Curryville died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green The Rev. Laura Beth Zeh officiating. Burial will be in New Harmony Christian Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from noon until time of service at the funeral home.

Doris was born Aug. 5, 1944 in Champaign, Ill., the daughter of Harry Oren and Lucille Lilly Grice Brown. On June 15, 1963 she married George Bushman Sr. at the Grace Baptist Church in Mahomet, Ill. He survives.

Other survivors include daughters, Peggy Kelsey and Anna Darnell and husband, Gregory; and grandchildren, Holly Lindley and husband, Thomas, Brittany Darnell, Dean McBaine and wife, Cassie, Rachal Manlove, Ryan Darnell, Pamela Weldon, Starlite Darnell and husband, Joseph, Michael Bushman and Taylor Kelsey; numerous great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, George Bushman Jr., a great-granddaughter, Bethany Smith, one brother and two sisters.

Doris was a member in the New Harmony Christian Church. She enjoyed making quilts and doing crafts. She loved being outdoors tending to numerous flowers and gardens but most of all she loved spending time with family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Jenkins, Joe Robbertts, Allen Kraft, Marion Branstetter, Melvin Fisher and Myron Arttus. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Darnell and Dean McBaine.

Memorials may be made to the New Harmony Church.
