Glenn Eugene Carr

Glenn Eugene Carr, 90, of Louisiana, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017 at the St, Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Bill Maupin officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery near Louisiana.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Carr was born on April 19, 1927 near Bowling Green to Henry and Bertha Bolomey Carr. He was married to Helen Bernice Williams on Jan. 15, 1949 in Louisiana. She survives

He is also survived by a daughter, Susan Sterne and husband, Geoff of Clarksville; a son, Michael Carr and wife, Geri of Huntsville; eight grandchildren, Vivian Kirk and husband, Spencer of Lee’s Summit, Alisha Hubbard and husband, Michael of Hot Springs, Ark., Daniel Carr and wife, Jamie of Madison, Kathryn Kelly and husband, Darrin of Nebo, Ill., Laurie Leger and husband, Bert of Katy, Texas, David Carr of Moberly, Benjamin Sterne and wife, April of Eolia, Eric Sterne and wife, Jessica of Clarksville, and several great-grandchildren and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Albert Carr, and a sister, Mildred Whitaker Griggs.

Glenn graduated from New London High School and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army Air Force.

He had been employed for 34 years at Hercules Chemical Co. in Louisiana, retiring May 1, 1992. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Louisiana.
