Garry James Gollaher

Garry James Gollaher, 65, of Frankford, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green. Burial will be in St. Clement Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

Garry was born June 29, 1952 in Louisiana, the son of James Alfred and Judith Ann Bailey Gollaher. He married Joyce Ann Korte July 3, 1971 at the St. Clement Catholic Church. She survives.

Other survivors include sons, Greg Gollaher and wife, Kelly of Nashville, Ill., and Grant Gollaher and wife, Jamie of Frankford; a daughter, Marcy Heffner and husband, Nick of Eolia; grandchildren, Andrew and Matthew Gollaher, Emery, Aubrey and Josie Heffner; sisters, Judy Grote of Bowling Green and Debby Tepen and husband, Fred of Bowling Green; nieces, nephews and cousins including Eddie Schuckenbrock and wife, Mariah and Larry Schuckenbrock.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Ervin Grote.

Garry grew up in Bowling Green and lived in Frankford for the past 40 years. He was a Baptist by faith. Garry owned and operated Gollaher Logging for 25 years.

Through the years he loved to hunt and ride horses. He enjoyed trips to the Rocky Mountains, and the river boat. Garry also enjoyed farming and gardening on the side.

Most of all, Garry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Tepen, Justin Tepen, Brandon Grote, Doug Korte, Bryan James and Adam Kaiser. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Gollaher, Matthew Gollaher, Emery Heffner, Aubrey Heffner and Josie Heffner.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
