Janet Wendel

Janet Wendel, 80, of Bowling Green died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017 at Country View Nursing Facility of Bowling Green.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday (today) at the St. Clement Catholic Church with the Rev. Jason T. Doke, S.T.L. officiating. Burial was in St. Clement Cemetery.

Visitation was from 4-6 p.m., Monday at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.

Janet was born Aug. 12, 1937 in Sycamore, Ill., the daughter of Stanley J. and Leah A. Farmer Clausen. She married Marion H. Wendel at St. Clement Catholic Church on Aug. 18, 1954. Even though they divorced in 1980, Marion continued to look after her and care for her.

Survivors include Marion H. Wendel; two nephews, Todd and Eric Clausen and other numerous nieces and nephews; and special caretaker, Millicent Ryan.

Janet was a homemaker and helped around the farm as needed. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing and playing solitaire.

Memorials may be made to the Pike County Home Health and Hospice.
