Alice Ethel Mosley

Alice Ethel Mosley, 96, of Clarksville died Sunday, Dec.10, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Mark Sheppard will officiate.

Visitation will be held from noon until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born Jan. 19, 1921 near Vandalia to Charley Edward Nutt and Sylvia Nadin Nutt. She married Raymond Mosley Nov. 13, 1938 at Hannibal. He preceded her in death March 10, 1988.

Alice is survived by one son, Clint Mosley of West Plains; three daughters, Jane Harris and husband, Elton of Louisiana, Ruby Sue Hall of Clarksville, and Ellen Miller and husband, Ed of Moberly; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight step- grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Golliher, a granddaughter, LaDana Whittaker, infant grandson, daughter-in-law, Jane Mosley, two brothers;, Cecil Nutt and John Nutt; and one sister, Ruby Smith.

She graduated from the Vandalia High School in 1938. Alice had been employed as a seamstress for Bobbi Brooks Garment Factory until she retired.

Alice enjoyed hand quilting and participating in various crafting actives in her spare time.

Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Whitaker, Shawn Golliher, Pat Schaffer and Edwin Miller. Pallbearers will be Don Whitaker, John Whitaker, Steve Hall, Cliff Miller, David Nutt and Bill Nutt.

Memorials may be given to Pike County Home Health and Hospice, the Gideons International, or to the donor’s choice, c/o Collier Funeral Homes, Inc., 117 Barnard Dr., Louisiana, MO 63353.
