Memorial services for Dora Mae Landwier of Clarksville will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday (today) at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry with J. Larry Carter officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m., until time of services Tuesday (today) at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.

Mrs. Landwier, 76, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 at the home of her son in Clarksville.

Born April 20, 1941 in Elsberry, she was the daughter of Victor Elmo and Dorothy Elvina Vaughn Wallace. Dora Mae was united in marriage on June 8, 1996 in the New Hope Community near Elsberry to William O’Brien Landwier.

Survivors include her children: Paul David Wright and his wife, Randi, of Eolia, MO, Victor Louis Wright and his wife, Teresa, also of Eolia, Chauncie William Wright and his wife, Glenda, of Clarksville and Carrie Palmer, and her fiancé, Gene Trower of Briscoe, MO; step-children: Scott William Landwier and Michael Landwier and his wife, Meredith, all of St. Charles, MO and Corey Kunkel and her husband, Joseph, of Newton, IA; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Robert Wallace and his wife, Connie, of Foley, MO; two sisters: Opal Riffle and Peggy Harding, both of Elsberry; one step-brother, Timmy Golden of Elsberry; two step-sisters: Jeanie Miller of New Florence and Kathy DeGeare of Elsberry; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Dora Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Dorothy Wallace; one step-son, Jeffery O’Brien Landwier; two sisters: Vicky Miller and Dorothy Lamberson; two step-brothers: Bobby DeGeare and Kenny Golden; one step-sister, Nancy Irving; a grandson, Donald Palmer, and her husband of 20 years, William Landwier, who died Sept. 21, 2016.

She was employed for a number of years at Forrest Keeling Nursery near Elsberry, and later as a nurse’s aide at Sunset Nursing Home in Elsberry. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post #4610 in Clarksville.
