Sandra R. Pickens

Sandra R. Pickens, 73, of Troy, formerly of Louisiana died Monday, Dec. 4, 2017 at her home in Troy.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Friday at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Bill O’Neal officiated. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery near Louisiana.

Visitation was from 11 a.m., until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

She was born Aug. 19, 1944 in Louisiana to Richard D. and Marguerite Love Rule. She was married to Robert Ewell Pickens on Jan. 2, 1982. He preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 2011.

She is survived by one son, William Terhune and wife, Anita; four step-children, Kim Pickens-Gibson and Ernest Gibson, David Pickens and wife, Joellen, Dan Pickens and wife, Robin, and Kelly Anagnos; five grandchildren, Kurt Gibson, Todd Gibson, Brian Pickens, Amber Pickens, and Brad Anagnos; one brother, Richard Rule; and two sisters, Jane Reeves and husband, Gary and Carolyn Oliver and husband, Bob; one great-granddaughter; and the caregivers that Sandra loved, Betty, Gini, Lois, Amy, and Alyssa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Marguerite Rule.
