Kathy Diane Riffle Morgan

Funeral services for Kathy Diane Riffle Morgan of Elsberry were at 11 a.m, Monday at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. The Rev. Richard Pillers, pastor of the Elsberry Assembly of God Church, will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry.

Visitation was from 9 a.m., until the time of funeral services Monday at the funeral home.

Kathy Morgan, 65, died Tuesday, Dec.12, 2017 at her home in Elsberry.

Born Aug. 16, 1952 in Louisiana, she was the daughter of John Robert and Lelia Belle McAfee Riffle. Growing up, Kathy attended the Elsberry School District. She worked as a laborer for VSM Abrasives until her retirement in 2009. Because she was an avid reader, Kathy could often be found at the J.R. Palmer Family Memorial Library. Kathy enjoyed doing crafts, including photo albums and clocks. They joy of Kathy’s life was spoiling her grandkids.

Survivors include her daughters, Dawn Shelton and husband, Calvin of Eolia, and Megan Williamson of O’Fallon; five grandchildren, Jamel and Uriah Shelton and Jasmine, Jaylyn and Logan Williamson; and one great-grandchild, Sergio Shelton. Kathy also leaves one sister, Mary Louise Robinson and husband, Bob of Lake of the Ozarks; two brothers, John “Mike” Riffle and wife, Sheree of Moscow Mills, and Larry Eugene Riffle of Troy; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lelia Riffle; one sister, Carol Ann Riffle Mills; two brothers: Robert “Bob” Lowry Fielder and Gilbert Wayne Riffle; and one son-in-law, Andrew Williamson.

Serving as pallbearers were Calvin Shelton, Josh Turner, Dwayne Fielder, Jamel Shelton, Shane Riffle and Bob Kelly. Honorary pallbearers will be Adrian Riffle, Michael Riffle and Rick Lafata.

Memorials may be made to the Family of Kathy Morgan to be used for final expenses, c/o Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
