Bobby D. Heimer

Bobby D. Heimer, 68, of Pleasant Hill, Ill., died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018 at Eastside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pittsfield.

Funeral services were Saturday at 10 a.m., at Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, Ill., conducted by Pastor Don Hannel. Burial followed at Summit Grove Cemetery near Kampsville.

Visitation was held Friday from 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Bobby was born Nov. 27, 1949 in Calhoun County, Ill., the son of Lawrence F. and Dora Elizabeth Barnes Heimer. He married Sondra J. Webb on March 24, 1979. She survives.

Other survivors include four sons, Bobby Heimer Jr., of O’Fallon, Kevin Heimer of Barry, Ill., Patrick Cantwell of Pleasant Hill, Ill., and Ricky Cantwell of Nebo, Ill.; two daughters, Christina Stice of Rockport, Ill., and Chantel Myers of Rockport, Ill.; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Franklin Heimer of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Alberta Hobbs of Bowling Green and Marilyn McCrory of Eolia; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Geneva Heimer; and by a brother, Phillip Heimer.

Bobby was employed as a union carpenter and farmer. He enjoyed hunting and all types of woodworking.
