Mouse Race Fundraser To Be Held For Eastern Mo. YMCA

Event Will Be In Memory Of Felicity Goodpasture-Culwell

Joni Barnett and a group of friends are planning a unique and enjoyable fundraiser in support of the Eastern Missouri Family YMCA Project. The event is being coordinated in memory of Felicity Goodpasture-Culwell and will be a Mouse Race held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Hall located at 800 Lindell in Vandalia.

Entry to the event is $20, which includes a pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, chips, and dessert. In addition, each individual will be provided “play” money to enjoy betting on the mice races and other games at the event. Bottomless beer/soda cups can be purchased for an additional $10. All attendees must be 21 or over to attend the event.

Doors open at 6:30 pm and the races begin at 7:30 pm. The evening will also feature a silent auction with a variety of items. To assist with planning the event, it is requested that tickets be purchased prior to the event. Tickets will be available for purchase until February 23rd. To purchase tickets, please contact Joni Barnett at 573-594-2235 or stop by Shelter Insurance located in Vandalia. Other locations and individuals selling tickets in Vandalia include Shear Platinum (Micah Hodde), Beth & Brandon Straube, Kuda’s Auto Repair, Justin Hopke, Gentle Healthy Smiles (Cami Blackman), Aaron’s Auto Care, Teresa Stuart, April Willis, and Alan Winders.

The Vandalia Recreation Corporation and the YMCA Board would like to thank Joni and all those assisting her with this fundraiser. The ambition and support from individuals in our area are what build strong communities and will ensure the success of the YMCA. Completion of the YMCA is an investment in our community. Please plan to support this fundraiser and help continue to make Felicity’s dream become a reality.
