Dorothy Lindsay

Dorothy Lindsay, 93, of Louisiana died Friday, June 15, 2018 at Maple Grove Lodge Nursing Home in Louisiana.

A graveside burial of her ashes will be held at a later date.

She was born Jan. 30, 1925 near Cyrene to Randall and Hulda Felch Hopkins. She was married to James William Lindsay, Sr. on May 25, 1943 in Louisiana. He preceded her in death Oct. 29, 1980.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Early and husband, Kevin of Louisiana; two sons, Mike Lindsay and wife, Peggy of Louisiana, and Dennis Lindsay and wife, Gina of O’Fallon; and over 60 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren combined.

She was preceded in death by four sons, James Lindsay, Jr., Jerry Lindsay, Gene Lindsay, and Ronnie Lindsay, and three sisters.

Dorothy had worked as a cook at the Louisiana, Nursing Home for several years. She was Baptist by faith. She loved babysitting her grandchildren and spending her time with them.
