Clopton FFA, Louisiana Middle School Plan Veterans Day Programs

Like other area schools, there will be Veterans Day programs at Clopton and Louisiana on Friday, Nov. 9.

Members of the Clopton FFA chapter invite the public to their program that will be held at 9:45 a.m on Friday, Nov. 9 in the Dale Miller Gymnasium. There will be a special program to honor the brave men and women who have fought to protect freedom.

Michael Yates is the featured speaker and will share his words of wisdom as well as stories from his service in the military. Immediately following the program, a Thanksgiving-style meal will be served in the cafeteria, compliments of the Clopton kitchen staff. Everyone is invited to join in this program.

Louisiana Middle School will also be hosting a special Veterans Day program as they have done in the past.

The event will start with a breakfast in the middle school cafeteria starting at 8:15 a.m. The assembly will take place at 9 a.m. in the middle school gymnasium.

The program will feature performances by the middle school band and chior, student speakers, a video presentation and there will be a special guest speaker.

The public is invited to take part in giving thanks and recognizing local veterans.
