Hylah ‘Sug’ Moran

Hylah Beatrice Moran, 81, of BowlingGreen died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, in Warrenton.

Funeral services were held Monday at 1 p.m., at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with the Rev. Skip Merkel officiating. Burial was at Bowling Green Cemetery.

Visitation was Monday from 11 a.m., until the time of the service.

Hylah was born Feb. 1, 1937 in Bowling Green, the daughter of Clarence D. and Beatrice McCann Lewis. She married Jesse Moran, who preceded her in death in 2005.

Hylah is survived by daughter Linda Douglas and husband, Robert; and grandson, Brian Moran, both of Warrenton; two brothers, Joe Lewis and wife, Rosie of Bowling Green and Ted Lewis and wife, Martha of Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Mike Moran; five sisters, Pat Booth, Betty Griffith, Ruth Hays, Corrinne Hussong and Peggy Scherder; and two brothers, Buddy Lewis and Richard Lewis.

Hylah was a member of Morning Star Fellowship. She enjoyed gardening and loved to read.

Serving as pallbearers were Ricky Hays, Rodney Hays, Randy Hays, Reno Hays, John Turner and Donnie Moran.
