Melissa ‘Missy’ May Potter

Melissa “Missy” May Potter, 58, of Bowling Green died Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., surrounded by family and friends.
Cremation rites are under the direction of Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes in Bowling Green.
Services will be Saturday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m., at Elmwood Church in Louisiana with Robert Bell officiating.
Missy was born Dec. 25, 1960 in Louisiana, the daughter of William and Peggy Wood Sencenbaugh.
Survivors include son, Wil Potter of Bowling Green; a daughter, Randi Potter of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Tyrayah Frazier, Michael Hunt, Jacob and Kaleb Jackson, Eric, Trinity and Natalee Jackson; mother-in-law, Donna Potter; nieces, Stephanie Mourino and husband, Wilson and Sara Bucher and husband, Chris.
She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Harold Potter.
Missy grew up in Louisiana, graduating from Louisiana High School in 1978.
She moved in Bowling Green in 1982 and has lived there since. Missy enjoyed her family, children, spending time with her grandkids, computer and board games and road tripping. She belonged to the Jaycees Club.
Missy began working for the Pike County Memorial Hospital at the age of 18 as a transcriptionist. She later worked for the Pike Medical Clinic has a transcriptionist as well as a medical biller.
Missy has loved by all and will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers donations are to be made to the family, c/o of the funeral home.
