Virginia Scott-Bryant

Virginia Scott-Bryant, 94, of Bowling Green died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m., Monday at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with the Rev. Sue Harper officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery in Bowling Green.
Visitation was from 11 a.m., until time of services at the funeral home.
Virginia was born Jan. 19, 1924, the daughter of Noah and Ludica Galbraith Harper. She married Glenn Scott June 30, 1951 in the State of Arkansas. He preceded her in death Dec. 22, 2007. She later married Bill Bryant Aug. 8, 2009. He preceded her in death June 2, 2014.
Surviving family includes daughter, JoAnn Sharp of Bowling Green; step-daughter, B.J Kenyan; step-son, Barry Bryant; many grandchildren, great-grandchild and great-great-grandchildren; special family, the Byers; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sons-in-law, Bud Potter, and Kenny Sharp; granddaughter, Jessica Potter; brothers, Denver Harper and Chester Harper; and sisters, Wilma Phillips, Elinor Harper and Lucy Widger.
Virginia grew up in Missouri and moved to California in 1953 moved to the State of California for many years before moving back to Missouri in the 1980’s.
She was Pentecostal by faith and accepted Christ as her Savior and remained faithful until her death.
Virginia and her husband, Glenn operated a machine shop where she was secretary until they retired. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, making afghans, traveling and playing cards.
Serving as pallbearers were Mike Atteberry, Jay Potter, Rod Widger, Van Widger, Ronnie Harper, Galen Harper, Gerald Harper, Tristin Dean and Glen Palmer.
Memorials may be made to the Pike County Relay for Life.
