Johnny Thurmon III

Johnny Thurmon III, 68, of Eoli died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Friday at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Johnny was born Jan. 4, 1951 in Columbia, the son of Johnny Quarrels II and Iva Grace Henry Thurmon. April 24, 1976 in Eolia Baptist Church he married Melba Ann Hopkins. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Ashley Bradsher and husband, Lance of Troy; grandchild, Liam Bradsher; a brother, Robert Thuron and wife, Susan of Eolia; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Johnny was a life long resident of Eolia, grew up in the Methodist Church and was a 1969 graduate of Clopton High School. He attended two years of school at University of Missouri and two years at Kirksville University receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in pre-med and pre-vet.
He worked as a medical technologist at the Lincoln County Hospital. Johnny started playing the keyboard in church and later played in several bands. Music was his passion.
He loved Bob Seager, Joe Cocker and classic rock-n-roll. Johnny was very patriotic, loved his country, U.S. history, old westerns and motorcycles. He as highly intelligent and loved math and science.
