Thelma Allman

Thelma Allman, 87, of Vandalia died Friday, Feb. 8, 2019 at Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Louisiana.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m., Monday at the funeral home.
Thelma was born Oct. 21, 1931 in Medford, Mass., the daughter of Kenneth Farrell and Clara Kenyon Newmiller Kaye. She married Lee Bergee. He preceded her in death. She then married George Allman. He also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Eric Bergee and wife, Nicole of New Berlin, Ill., Michael Bergee and wife, Laura of Festus; two daughters, Cheryl Clifford and husband, James of Gamoliel, Ark., and Lynda Anderson and husband, Neil of Ashburn; four grandchildren, Amy Ebeling, David Bergee, Brandon Bergee and Allison Bergee; two great-grandchildren, Mason Ippolito and Ella Ippolito.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers, Bruce Kaye and David Kaye; and a sister, Eleanor McLaughlin.
Thelma grew up in the Massachusetts and New York area.
She was a member of the non-denominational church that follows Jesus Christ.
Thelma loved to clean and was known for her cleaning. She was a great cook and was a good pie maker and known for her three-day spaghetti dish. Thelma loved babies and people but above all else she loved her Lord. God’s truth changed her life.
Memorials may be made to Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia.
