Marie Schreiber

Marie Schreiber, 93, of Bowling Green died Sunday, April 21, 2019 at her residence.
Graveside services were at 11:30 a.m., Saturday at Kilby Cemetery near Curryville with the Rev. Janis Montgomery officiating.
Visitation was from 10-11 a.m., Saturday at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green, prior to graveside services.
Marie was born May 11, 1925 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Stephan and Mary Scapots Merkel. She married Walter Joseph Schreiber, Jr. Oct. 5, 1945 in Chicago, Ill. He preceded her in death July 7, 2003.
Survivors include sons, Donald Schreiber of Bowling Green and Kenneth Schreiber and wife, Kim of Elgin, Ill.; daughters, Mary Beth Werenski and husband, Ted of Curryville and Janet Eubanks and husband, John of Augusta; grandchildren, Carter Ward and wife, Erica, Rachel Brown and husband, Austin, Brett Werenski and wife, Kat, Ted Werenski and wife, Audra, Travis Werenski and Courtney Kadlec, and Jack Werenski, Catie Eubanks and Alexandra McDonald and husband, Travis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Marie grew up in Chicago and after retiring with her husband to Scottsdale, Ariz., lived in Bowling Green for the past 20 years to be close to family.
Marie was Catholic by faith. She enjoyed doing needle point, reading, and traveling but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Brett Werenski, Ted Werenski, Jack Werenski, Travis Werenski and Travis McDonald.
