Roger Dale Howard

Roger Dale Howard, 66, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017 at his home surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Dale was born Dec. 15, 1950 in Rockport, Ill., to Simon and Bessie Hubbard Howard. He was married to Frances Roberta Darnell on Aug. 9, 1974 at the Christian Church in Clarksville.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Howard of the home; two daughters, Elizabeth “Beth” Albright of Louisiana, and Rachel Watts and husband, Billie of Clarksville; a son, Roger Howard and wife, Jessica of Paris; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six sisters, Doris Bartkowiak, Edith Dove, Lou Darnell, Bert Davis, Vickie Bowen, and Waivie Howard; a brother, David Howard; and a sister in-law, Rosie Howard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Bessie Howard, two brothers, and four sisters.

He was a long-time employee of Maple Grove Lodge Nursing Home in Louisiana.

Roger was a devout Christian, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and he loved horses.
