It is a very exciting day at Silex R-1. The State Commissioner of Education, Dr. Margie Vandeven and State Supervisor, Jay Reese paid a visit. Dr. Vandeven read “Pete the Cat and the Magic Sunglasses” to the kindergarten to celebrate Missouri’s Read-In Day.
Silex school recently accepted a donation of a Great Horned Owl from Stroker sisters Janet Stroker Dameron Finnerty, Virginia SuzAnne Stroker Paz, and Grace ElizaBeth Stroker McLean.
