Woodson Faces Numerous Charges

On Saturday, Feb. 11 officers of the Vandalia Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Olive for a vehicle that failed to use turn signals.

The vehicle was occupied by two male subjects. Officer made contact with the subjects when they stopped at a residence. After an investigation at the scene,

Officers identified the driver as Jerry Woodson, 44, of Vandalia. Woodson was uncooperative with Officers at the scene and appeared to be under the influence. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Vandalia Police Department where he was processed and field sobriety tests were conducted along with breathalyzer tests. Woodson was later released on summons for; driving under the influence, failure to signal (X2), and resisting/interfering with arrest.

Woodson was given a date to appear in Audrain County Court.
