Charles Michael Lafferty

Charles Michael Lafferty, 64, of Louisiana died Thursday, March 30, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m., Thursday at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Robert Hutsell officiated. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana.

Visitation was from 11 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

He was born Jan. 8, 1953 in Louisiana, the son of Ernest Carl Sr. and Hazel Irene Whitaker Lafferty.

He is survived by one son, Michael Shane Lafferty and wife, Sarah of Wentzville; and their children, Bailey Lafferty, Lucas Lafferty, Mason Misener, Nyah Misener and Cooper Misener, two daughters, Tina Akers and children, Grant Akers, Blake Akers, Benjamin Akers and Rylie Akers. a daughter, Charidy Stone and husband, Dale of Muscatine, Iowa and children, Amelia Stone and Basil Stone; one brother, Junior Lafferty and wife, Michel of Louisiana; two sisters, Lois Turner and husband, Duke of Louisiana, and Sandy Lafferty of Carterville, Ill.; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Robert Lafferty, Larry Lafferty and Samuel Lafferty and one sister, Linda Lafferty.

Charles graduated from the Louisiana High School in 1971. He had been self-employed as a window washer until his retirement.

He was a member of the Praying Hands Pentecostal Church in Louisiana.
