Patricia D. Gross
Patricia D. Gross, 86, of Louisiana, formerly of Worton, Maryland died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Lynn’s Heritage House in Louisiana.
Her desire was to be cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
She was born Aug. 21, 1930 in Philadelphia, Penn., the daughter of Grant and Delma Boston Dinmore. She married A. William Gross, Jr., on Sept. 6, 1951 at the Glenolden Presbyterian Church in Glenolden, Penn. He preceded her in death March 21, 1999.
She is survived by one son, A. William Gross III and wife, Margie of Hammonton, N.J.; two daughters, Patricia Elizabeth Klotzbach and husband, Fred of Avondale Penn., and Rebecca Ann Penrod and husband, Joe of Louisiana; a sister, Geraldine Ingram and husband, Al of St. Petersburg Beach, Fla.; one brother, Grant C. Dinmore, Jr. and wife, Judy of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; five grandchildren, Joseph William Penrod of Louisiana, Tonya Sheppard and husband, Shep of Louisiana, Megan Penrod and husband, Jeremy of Troy, Kelsey Gray and husband, Will of Woodbury, N.J., Erin Klotzbach and wife, Meghan of West Grove, Penn.; 12 great-grandchildren and special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Delma Boston Dinmore.
Patricia graduated from the Glen-Nor High School in 1948. After high school she attended the Nursing School at the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Penn., where she received her RN degree in 1951.
She had a long and rewarding career in nursing and had been employed at a number of hospitals as an RN in Pennsylvania. After coming to Missouri she taught nursing at the Pike-Lincoln Vocational School at Eolia.
After retirement she and her husband moved to Chesapeake Bay, Mary., where she pursued her love of sailing. She was also an avid artist and a member of the Chestertown Art League.
She was a member of the Chestertown Emmanuel Church.
