Linda Joyce Wicks Bailey

Linda Joyce Wicks Bailey, 68, of Frankford, died Monday, July 31, 2017.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with the Rev. Jeremy Wallace officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Frankford.

Visitation was held from noon until time of service.

Linda was born July 25, 1949 in Perry, the daughter of Marion and Dimple Mahood Wicks. On Feb. 26, 1971 at the Frankford Baptist Church she married Jerry Wayne Bailey. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Jerry Dwayne Bailey and wife, Brooke of Bowling Green, Brian Bailey of Frankford; daughter, Melinda Kay Bailey of Frankford; two grandchildren, Brianna Nicole Kelso of Springfield, Donnie Wayne Kelso of Palmyra; two sisters, Brenda Jo (Wicks) Kissee and husband, Bill of Quincy, Judith Kay Hammett and husband, Eddie of Mexico; other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda grew up in Vandalia and lived in Frankford since 1971. She loved doing word searches and babysitting and spent her many years working in numerous factories before becoming a housewife. Linda enjoyed the simple things in life. She especially enjoyed spending time together with her sisters and babysitting her nieces and nephews.

She loved her children, grandchildren, sisters and spending time with all her family.

Pallbearers were Donnie Kelso, Ronnie Kelso, Eddie Hammett, Bradley Weatherby, Justin Weatherby and Brianna Kelso.

Memorials may be made to the Pike County Memorial Hospital Dialysis Clinic.
