Nicholas Lee Spencer

Nicholas Lee Spencer, 18, of Bowling Green died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Bowling Green.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Nicholas was born June 17, 1999 in Hannibal, the son of Eric Lee and Carrie Ellen Miller Spencer. They both survive.

Other survivors include a brother, Matthew Spencer of Bowling Green; maternal grandparents, Ed and Shirley Miller of Bowling Green; aunts and uncles Lynn Cannon and husband, Lyle of Auxvasse, Don Kottmann of St. Charles, Jeannette Cruz of the state of California and Karen Riley and husband, Scott of Bowling Green; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Don and Gloria Young; maternal great grandparents, Evelyn Mae and Eugene Earl “Jake” Miller.

Nicholas grew up and lived his entire life around Bowling Green. He was baptized at St. Clement Catholic Church. Nicholas was in the Boy Scouts and competed in the Pine Wood Derbies, was a member of the BGHS FFA, as well as participating in football and baseball. He loved the outdoors, especially bow fishing and hunting. Nicholas loved car, trucks and lawn mower derbies. Nicholas was working as a farm laborer for Fisher Farms.

Serving as pallbearers will be Connor Betts, Austin Raddatz, Kody Long, Kolby Long, Zachary Cannon, Caleb Perez, Ethan Luebrecht, Kayden Burnett, John Carter and Jeremy Garrison. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Henson, Josh Sparks, Marcus Nicks and Brayden Cannon.

Memorials may be made to the Matthew Spencer College Fund c/o Bibb-Veach Funeral Home.
