Georgia Mariah Belshe

Services for Georgia Mariah Belshe, 98, of Perry, were at 12 p.m., Friday at Perry Christian Church with the Rev. Nancy Kellstrom officiating. Burial was in Lick Creek Cemetery.

Visitation was Friday, from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Arrangements were under the direction of Bienhoff Funeral Homes.

Mrs. Belshe died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Luther Manor in Hannibal.

She was born Oct. 29, 1918 in Perry, the daughter of Floid Ely and Lettie May Jackson Fanning. She married Donald Franklin Belshe on Aug. 20, 1944 in Perry. He preceded her in death. April 19, 1987.

Other survivors include one son, David Belshe of Mexico; three daughters, Donna Cragen and husband, Dale of Frankford, Debby McMillen and husband, Dennis of Center, and Beth Brown and husband, Eddie of Frankford; one brother, Frank Fanning and wife, Carol of Bowling Green; two sisters, Edith Irwin, of Springfield, Ill., and Mary (Luck) Cox of Hot Springs, Ark.; one sister-in-law, Betty Fanning of Tulsa, Okla.; eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronnie Belshe; one brother, Tom Fanning; one sister, Frances Fanning; one grandson, Dr. Darin Cragen; and one great-grandson, Michael Steele.

Mrs. Belshe was a lifetime area resident, homemaker, and member of the Perry Christian Church. She was a 1936 graduate of Perry High School. She enjoyed babysitting, crocheting and watching Cardinal baseball games.

Pallbearers were Shayne Belshe, Jake McMillen, Bailey McMillen, Casey Brown, Jack Brown and Jonathan Chipman.
