DAR, American Legion To Host Candidate Forum On March 15

The Pike County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Legion Post 370 will be co-sponsoring a “Meet the Candidate Night” on March 15 at the American Legion facility located at 420 Kelly Lane in Louisiana.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. Brent Engel will once again act as moderator.

Candidates running for office in the general election have will be invited to participate. Each will be given time for a personal introduction. Questions solicited from the audience in advance will be proposed by the moderator. Each candidate who wants to respond will be given an opportunity.

DAR Chapter Regent Cindy Blaylock noted that candidates should let their constituents know about the candidate forum and invite attendance.

Almost every seat in the municipal election for Louisiana is contested which generally promises a great deal of lively discussion.
