Leon Knock

Leon Knock, 92, of Louisville died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at his home in Louisville.

Funeral Mass was at 10 a.m., Saturday at St. Clement Catholic Church in St. Clement with the Rev. Jason T. Doke, S.T.L. officiating. Burial was in St. Clement Cemetery.

Leon was born May 3, 1925 in Hobart, the son of George Otto and Ruby Belle Estes Knock. On April 7, 1948 in St. Clement he married Geneva Orf. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, George Lee Knock of Louisville; five daughters, Shelba Northcutt and husband, Walter of Middletown, Geanine Mudd and husband, Doug of Silex, Sheila Knock and Ed Backer of Louisville, Jennifer Fisher and husband, Malcolm of Curryville, and Cynthia Rucker and Bill Perkins of Supply, N.C.; grandchildren, Jill Northcutt Miller, Geff and Julie Northcutt Dunn, Tom and Jodi Rucker Peterson, Houston and Michelle Knock Mueller, Wes and Marley Knock Scherder, Cody and Georgia Knock Hearn, Chad and Ashley Mudd, Kyle Mudd, Kyli Becker, Cody Mudd, Paul and Leea Fisher Smith, Logan Fisher; great-grandchildren, Josh Miller, Shelby, Sydney, Sophia and Jaxson Dunn, Michael, Matthew and Luke Peterson, Claire, Caroline and Carl Mueller, McKinli Scherder, Caelyn and Raelyn Hearn, Jack and Mia Mudd, Bayleigh Mudd; three sisters, Eileen Ryan of Silex, Imogene Colbert and husband, Junior of Jacksonville, Ill., Joann Edmiston and husband, Larry of Louisville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Verona Brewer, grandchildren, Megan Knock and Tyler Lumpkin; two baby brothers, Bobby Estes Knock and Marvin Otto Knock who died in infancy; and brothers-in-law, Harry Ryan and William Brewer.

Leon lived in Louisville most all of his life and was a member of the St. Clement Catholic Church. He served in the army during World War II. Leon enjoyed hunting, farming, mowing his yard, running the dozer and taking care of his cows.

Pallbearers were Doug Mudd, Chad Mudd, Kyle Mudd, Cody Mudd, Logan Fisher and Michael Peterson. Honorary pallbearers were Josh Miller, Jaxson Dunn, Matthew Peterson, Luke Peterson, Jack Mudd and Carl Mueller.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Disabled American Veterans or the St. Clement Cemetery.
