Maxine Ulrich

Maxine Ulrich, 89, of Bowling Green died Tuesday, June 19, 2918 at the Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Thursday at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Pastor Randy McDonald officiating. Burial was in Green Lawn Cemetery in Bowling Green.

Visitation was from 9-10 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Maxine was born Feb. 18, 1929 in Drake, Ill., the daughter of Claud Albert and Cecil Letha Painter Schutz Sr. On July 2, 1948 she married Walter Ulrich. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include step-daughter Gailetta Maddox and husband, Paul of Hannibal; step-grandchildren, Mike Maddox and wife, Michelle, Paula Epker, Julie Haynes (Gettie) and Jennifer Miller and husband, Donnie; numerous step-great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Claud Albert Schutz, Jr. of Arkansas; special friends, Glenda Moran, JoAnn Moore, Lizzie Pflum; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Lloyd, Gerald, Joseph, Donald, Giggs, Billy Joe and Obie Guy; sisters Mabel Watts, Mildred Schutz, Phyllis Harrelson, Lottie Mae Schutz, Claudine Stewart, and Lucy Bise.

Maxine lived in Bowling Green all of her life and was at Moore-Pike Nursing Home and Country View Nursing Home and was a member of the Baptist faith.

She loved quilting, embroidering, crocheting, plastic canvas crafts, working puzzles, playing bingo, flowers and collecting dolls. Most of all Maxine enjoyed visiting family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers were Larry Bise, Ronnie Stewart, Dale Stewart, Marvin Jennings, Wes Perkins and Bob Kuntz.

Memorials may be made to the Country View Nursing Home Activity Fund.
