Nathan Lee Parsons

Nathan Lee Parsons 31, of Clarksville passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home Wednesday July 25, 2018.

Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana is in charge of services.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Don Amelung will officiate. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana.

Nathan was born Oct. 17, 1986 in Hannibal, the son of Dennis and Brenda Tophinke Parsons of rural Clarksville. Nathan grew up and lived in rural Clarksville. As a boy growing up Nathan participated in both YMCA soccer and khoury league baseball. He was an excellent baseball player. His baseball skills were such that at one time Nathan was invited to play on a traveling team that the manager from an opposing team had organized. Nathan attended and graduated from Clopton School and the Pike/Lincoln Technical School. While still in high school Nathan began his working career through employment with American Botanicals in Eolia.

His work experience at American Botanicals, along with guidance from his Ag teacher, helped him earn the 2003 FFA Area Winner specialty Crop award, the 2004 State Winner Fiber Crop Production award, and the 2005 Area Winner Diversified Crop Production Placement award.
