Brett Michael Carper

Memorial services for Brett Michael Carper, 24, of Perry were at 7 p.m., Monday at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Perry with the Rev. Dan Peters officiating.

Visitation was Monday from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Brett died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019 at his home.

He was born in Hannibal on March 20, 1995, the son of Michael Todd and Stephanie Dawn Lynn Carper.

Survivors include his father, Michael Todd Carper of Labelle; his mother, Stephanie Lynn Carper and Terry Kayser of Perry; three brothers, Jonathan Williams of Lake Ozark, Reitz Carper of Labelle, and Braeden Carper of Perry; grandparents, Sherry Lynn of Frankford, Sherry Lay and Jenilee Carper, both of Labelle; aunts and uncles, Eddie and Tracy Lynn of New London and Renee and Steve Scoggin of Labelle; one nephew, Mason Williams of Lake Ozark; one special great-uncle, Bill Unsell of Frankford; and three special cousins, Michael and Matthew Scoggin, and Dalton Lynn.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Joshua Williams and two grandfathers, Donald Carper and Raymond Lynn.

Brett moved to Perry following his graduation in 2013 from Highland High School.  He worked as a self-employed saw mill operator. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also collected firearms and enjoyed archery.

Honorary pallbearers were his brothers and nephew, Mason Williams.
