Dale E. Hendrickson

Dale E. Hendrickson, 82, of Troy died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 at his home.
There was a memorial service at 2 p.m., Wednesday at the Troy VFW Hall.

He was born Feb. 6, 1937 in Anderson, Ind., to Orville and Maxine Danforth Hendrickson. Dale was raised in the state of California and then the family moved to Missouri.

After his formal schooling, he was introduced to his future wife, Jean Bourisaw, by a friend. They went together for three months and were married on Nov. 19, 1953 in East St. Louis, Ill. To this union were born five children: Linda, Rodney, Vicki, Kathy and Rick.

Dale worked for General Motors after many years of dedicated service, retiring in 1985. The couple moved to Lake of the Ozarks and Dale became an EMT and fireman.

He loved living near the water and enjoyed camping and boating with his family. Providing and tak-ing care of his family was always of the utmost importance to him.

Surviving are his beloved and de-voted wife of over 66 years of marriage, Jean Hendrickson; four children: Linda Wilburn and husband, Darrel of Troy, Vicki Reckart of Elsberry, Kathy Jones and hus-band, Steven of Troy and Rick Hendrickson; one sister, Sharon Lepley of Eolia; 15 adoring grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Hendrickson in 1994.
