Sandra Kay Bower

Sandra Kay Bower, 74, of Pleas-ant Hill, Ill., died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019.
Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service was held Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, Ill. Visitation was Friday from 5-6:30 p.m., at the funeral home.

Sandra was born June 4, 1945 in Pearl, a daughter of Charles, Jr “Chaz” and Juanita Sue Curtis Lippincott. Sandra married Frank Bower of Ottumwa, Iowa on Oct. 28, 1968.

Sandra worked many years as a seamstress at Bridal Original in Bowling Green. She later worked at Liberty Village in Pittsfield.

She enjoyed gardening, antiquing and keeping in touch with friends and family on Facebook. Her great-est enjoyment came from spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Michael McCluggage and Travis Bower and wife, Leslie; a daughter, Dana McKinnon and husband, Ronnie all of Pleasant Hill, Ill.; grand-children include Bretton Hausmann and Hailey Hirst, both of Nicholasville, Ky., Austin Beck of Pittsfield, Ill., Michael McCluggage, Jr. and wife, Tracy of Brussels, Kaylynn Clendenny and husband, Terry, Tyler McKee, Nathan Bower, Wesley Bower, and Josie Bower, all of Pleasant Hill, Ill.; two great-grand-sons, Landon Clendenny of Pleasant Hill, Ill., and Jaxton Hausmann of Quincy, Ill.; and a great-grand-daughter, Tatum McCluggage of Brussels; siblings, Mary Ann Smith and husband, Bill, Larry “Buddy” Lippincott and wife, Karen and Becky Kendall and husband, Denny, all of Pleasant Hill, Ill., and Rach Lippincott and wife, Nancy of Kampsville.

Sandra also helped raise four step-children, Tina Bower of New London, Tammi Schmidt and husband, Steve of Milan, Tony Bower and wife, Cathy of Norfolk, Va., and Toby Bower and wife, Lisa of Aledo.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a grand-son, Brenton Hausmann.

Memorials may be made to the Blessing Cancer Center in Quincy.
Lummis Funeral Home in Pleas-ant Hill, Ill., handled the arrangements.
