			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a class="highslide" onclick="return vz.expand(this)" href="http://thepeoplestribune.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/obit3.jpg"></a>Wesley H. Hutcheson, 60 of Mexico, formerly of Vandalia died Friday, Sept. 4, 2010.<br />
Funeral services will be Thursday at 8 p.m., at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia with the Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery at a later date.<br />
He was born Nov. 2, 1949 in Mexico, the son of Archie and Zelma Lee Horton Hutcheson.<br />
Survivors include a son, Danny Wayne Hutcheson of Centralia; one daughter; Lisa A. Gregis and husband Leo of Centralia, two brothers, Danny L. Hutcheson and wife Jeanie of Jacksonville, Fla., and Tommy E. Hutcheson of Vandalia, five grandchildren, Trisha Gregis, Miranda Gregis, Tanner Hutcheson, Kaylee Hutcheson and Kelsey Hutcheson, also several nieces and nephews.<br />
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Peggy L. Miller who died in 1999.<br />
Wesley was a life-long resident of Vandalia, he was a 1968 Van-Far high school graduate and he attended Southside Baptist Church of Vandalia. After a brief journey in the Air Force, Wesley worked at the Carr Sawmill in Vandalia as a pallet builder. He enjoyed playing basketball and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.<br />
Pallbearers will be Tanner Hutcheson, Todd Hutcheson and Troy Hutcheson.<br />
Flowers are encouraged and/or donations to the American Cancer Society.</p>

She was born July 28, 1923 in Vandalia, the daughter of Albert and Effie Mae Harris Wilson. She married Norman William Wheeler on June 21, 1940 in Vandalia. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1990.<br />
Survivors include five sons, William Wheeler of Vandalia, Larry Wheeler and Janie Thomas of Vandalia, Kenneth and wife, Edna of Vandalia, Alfred Wheeler and wife, Gaile of Warrenton and Wendell Wheeler and Renee Schoen of Vandalia; six daughters, Grace Bryant and husband, Charles of Columbia, Opal Mae Green and husband, Ronnie of Vandalia, Linda Dothard of Rock Island, Ill., Beverly McQuay and husband, Roy of Vandalia, Donita Lewis and husband, Gus of Marina, Calif., and Kim Davis and husband, Myron of Vandalia;  37 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren.<br />
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Mack Wilson and Dempsey Wilson and one sister: Nonie Dixon.<br />
Dorothy was a life-long Vandalia resident and was known to all as Mother, she was a long time member of the Second Christian Church of Vandalia where she was a member of the church choir and the Christan Women&#8217;s Fellowship group. Dorothy attended area schools and worked as a pattern cutter at the Shoe Factory in Vandalia. Dorothy enjoyed cooking for church events, sending meals to workers at the brick plant and preparing meals for her family.<br />
Pallbearers were Kenneth &#8220;Peaches&#8221; Wheeler, Michael Reynolds, Jamie Wheeler, Donnelle Perkins, Art Wiser and Roger Chatman. Honorary pallbearers were Leo Salmon, Dr. Rex Carter, Dr. Juan Pineda, Walter Dixon, Charles Holman and Matthew Salmon.<br />
All memorials are encouraged to The Second Christian Church in Vandalia.</p>

Mr. Douglas died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana.<br />
He was born Sept. 7, 1959 in Louisiana to James Christopher Douglas and Janet Yates Douglas.<br />
He is survived by one daughter, Myra Douglas of Elsberry; his mother, Janet Douglas of St. Louis; four sisters, Sherry May of Minneapolis, Minn., Melinda Terrell of Kansas City, Lisa Sydnor of St. Louis and Sonya Hopkins of Kansas City; his paternal grandmother, Marie Carter of Jacksonville, Ill.; a special friend, Renee Summers of Clarksville; an aunt, Sandra Warren of Clarksville;  two uncles, John Warren and Chris Redd both of Clarksville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and two great-nieces.<br />
He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Douglas on May 24, 2010; a son, Billy Jean Douglas, his maternal grandparents, William and Martha Yates, an aunt, Barbara Yates, and a cousin who was like a brother to him, Steve Yates.<br />
He graduated from Clopton High School in 1977. He had worked on his grandfather&#8217;s farm in Paynesville for many years. He enjoyed hunting and playing pool. He was a member of the Bethel AME Church in Paynesville.<br />

Mr. Russell, 57, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010 at his home in Elsberry. <br />
He was born Aug. 29, 1953 in Corona, Calif., the son of Dr. Frank and Esther Rudd Russell.  He was a graduate of Fort Zumwalt High School. He received an associate&#8217;s degree in art from Moberly J.C.  He was united in marriage on April 21, 2001 to Robbin Diane Hunter. She survives.  He worked for many years as an over the road truck driver for Panther Trucking. <br />
Survivors include one son, Sean Russell and wife, Grace of Fort Riley, Kan.; seven daughters, Tracy Bishop and husband, Kenneth of Fenton, Christina Hanna of Troy, Roxanne Rader and husband, Gary, of Troy, Kathryn Hanna of Hawk Point, Angela Russell of North Collins, N.Y., Carrie Russell of Truxton and Nicole Russell of Troy; three step-sons, LCPL. Brandon Smith of Camp Lejeune, N.C., Mark Smith of Montgomery City and Nick Smith of Elsberry; two step-daughters, Tasha Smith of Middletown and Tonya McGlasson and husband, Chris of Bowling Green; and 20 grandchildren; his mother, Esther Russell of Wentzville; one sister, Anne-Marie Shepard and husband, David of Wright City; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. <br />
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Frank Russell.<br />

Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Vandalia.<br />
Mr. Ebers was born on May 31, 1971, in Louisiana, the son of Dennis Harold and Mary Jo Rose Ebers. On Aug. 28, 2010, in Vandalia, he married Emily Marie Nolan. She survives.<br />
Other survivors include three children, Kyle Joe Ebers, of Vandalia, Shawna Renee Ebers, of Troy and William Ebers, of Vandalia; his father, Dennis Harold Ebers of Vandalia; three sisters and one brother, Stacy Lynn Hamlett and husband, Joey, Melissa Jane Nutt, and husband, Jeff, Travis Joe Hays, all of Vandalia and Kendra Dea Hays, of Bowling Green; nieces and nephews, Melani Hamlett, of Vandalia, Clayton Nutt and Christopher Nutt, both of Vandalia, Hunter McMillen and Allison Rose Hays, both of Bowling Green and Ashton Garnett of Vandalia; aunts and uncles, Marilyn Herriman, Donna and Albert Watson and Jeanie and Mike Gratton, all of Vandalia, Kathy and Bobby Lovell and Letha and Bill Perkins, Ruth Ann and Dean Reid, Gary Rose and Earl Ray and Robin Rose, all of Bowling Green, Beatrice Cole of Jefferson City, Gene Rose of Elsberry, Ronnie and Trish Rose of Fredrickstown; father-in-law, Gary Nolan of Vandalia; mother-in-law, Denise Nolan of Vandalia and sister-in-law, Deanna Nolan of Vandalia.<br />
Shawn was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo Rose Hays; grandparents, Charles and Ruth Rose and Harold and Jessie Ebers and a cousin, Clinton Lovell.<br />
He was a 1990 graduate of Bowling Green High School. Shawn had lived in the Vandalia area most of his life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vandalia. He was an over the road truck driver, most recently working for R&amp;R Transport.<br />
Shawn loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with his family in their “Kinfolks Country Music Show” in Bowling Green.  He was an avid sports fan, enjoying baseball, basketball and football the most.  He liked horseshoes, cat fishing and deer hunting.  Most of all, he enjoyed being around people and visiting, especially with his family.  He very seldom ever met a stranger.<br />
Serving as pallbearers were Joey Hamlett, Rob Herriman, Darryl Madden, Chris Nitcher, Jeff Nutt and Chad Perkins.  Honorary pallbearers were Donnie Herriman, Chuck Rose and Justin Rose.<br />

He was cremated and a celebration of his life was held Sunday, Aug. 8 at the shelter on top of the bluff at Lake of the Ozarks State Park, Public Beach No. 2.<br />
He was born Dec. 18, 1952 in Louisiana to Charles and Pauline Griffith. On Nov. 23, 1974 he married Elaine. She survives. Together they lived in Kirksville, Springfield, Ill., and Louisiana and finally at the lake for the past 24 years.<br />
Survivors include a son, Scott Griffith and wife, Amy and children, Alana, Logan, Preston and Felicity of Belle; a daughter, Erin Butler and husband, Scott and children, Shayn and Jackson, Bolivar; mother-in-law, Mary Lee Tinsley, Bowling Green; nieces, Jennifer Evans and husband, Jason and children, Jaelen and Jaen of Jacksonville, Ill., and Dawn Woods and husband and children, Dylan, Brittani, Jalana and Chloe; aunts, Frankie Griffith of Mexico and Laura Hutchins of Ft. Walton Veach, Fla.<br />
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carlyn Woods.<br />
Terry graduated from Truman State University in Kirksville in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in education. He was always a teacher and wanted to give everyone a change in life. He loved books, reading, bookstores, collecting ink pens and going to Staples. Terry also loved Little League baseball, especially the World Series and women’s slow-pitch softball. He coached a lot of Little Teague teams during high school and college.<br />
He was also in banking and finance until his health problems began.<br />
Terry loved everyone. He always had such a big heart and smile even when he was ill. Terry loved his family very music, especially his grandchildren. He was so proud of his family and their accomplishments.<br />
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a class="highslide" onclick="return vz.expand(this)" href="http://thepeoplestribune.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/obit111.jpg"></a>Nancy Kathleen Oliver, 56, of Louisiana died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010 at her home following a two-year battle with cancer.<br />
A memorial service was held Aug. 30 at 11 a.m., at Ramsey Creek Baptist Church with John Bateman officiating.<br />
She was born April 29, 1954 in St. Louis to Douglas Q. and Charlene M. Rayfield Haig.<br />
Survivors include her husband, Jim Oliver of Louisiana; two daughters, Brandy Lockard and husband, Nathan of Eolia and Ashley Oliver; of Louisiana a sister, Gloria Haig of Oregon; and stepchildren, Tim Oliver and Dawn Staunten.<br />
She was preceded in death by her parents and a  brother, Doug D. Haig.</p>

She was born July 19, 1955 in Louisiana, the daughter of Edwin Bernard and Ruth Helen Wendel Deters. <br />
Survivors include one daughter, Katie Boyd and one grandson, Alexander Boyd of Bowling Green; two brothers, James Deters and wife, Karen of Bowling Green, Ed Deters and wife, Lisa of O&#8217;Fallon; two sisters, Linda Whiteside of Elsberry, Kathy Brown and husband, Robert of Centralia and many nieces and nephews. <br />
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law Leslie Whiteside. <br />
Frances lived in Bowling Green most all of her life.  She had been employed with Kroger for 20 years as a grocery sales clerk where she worked in the Bowling Green, Hannibal and Louisiana stores.  She was an avid Cardinals fan and loved watching &#8220;I Love Lucy&#8221; and collected &#8220;I Love Lucy&#8221; memorabilia.  She also collected souvenir sewing thimbles.  Frances enjoyed bowling in a league and attending the State and National Bowling Championship.  She loved spending time with friends and family.<br />
Serving as pallbearers were William Deters, Patrick Deters, Brian Brown, Bradley Deters, Blake Deters and Derek Deters.  Honorary Pallbearers were Michael Deters, Scott Deters and Lance Deters.<br />
Memorials may be made to the Alexander Boyd Educational Fund c/o Community State Bank or to the Pike County Hospice.</p>

Visitation was from 5-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.<br />
He was born Nov. 4, 1921 in Bowling Green, the son of Edward Columbus and Nora Elizabeth Ogden Staton.  He married Molly Ellen Crane on June 4, 1948.  She preceded him in death March 31, 1996.<br />
Survivors include two sons, Gary Staton and wife, Debbie of Bowling Green, Darrell Staton of Waterloo, Iowa. and one granddaughter, Megan Staton of Bowling Green. <br />
He was preceded in death by two brothers, George Staton in infancy, O. A. Staton and three sisters, Lucille Wallace, Emma Mae Dempsey and Frances Pettey.<br />
Mr. Staton lived most of his life in Pike County where he worked as a brick mason.  He served in the U. S. Army during WWII in Belgium. <br />
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf.  He was past member of the VFW Post #5553, American Legion Post #272 and Brick Masons Union in St. Louis.<br />
Serving as pallbearers were John Charlton, Sam Ellis, Rick Ellis, Don St. Clair, Roy St. Clair and Gary Staton.<br />
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.</p>
