Richard Jenkins Faces Felony Charge For Handgun Incident

Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte reports a Curryville man was arrested last week following an investigation into a possible shooting.
The Sheriff’s Department received a report of a shooting at 305 West Main Street in Curryville on Saturday, Jan. 14. Pike County deputies, detectives and members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene.
Law enforcement discovered that no one had sustained injuries in the incident. The investigation indicated that the suspect had fired a handgun at three juveniles following an altercation.
Richard Jenkins, 32, of Curryville was arrested. He has been charged by Pike County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Fisher with unlawful use of a weapon, a class B felony.
Judge David Ash issued a warrant for Jenkins’ arrest who is currently being held at the Pike County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash only bond.
