Samuel Curtis Fitzpatrick, 64, of Vandalia died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Audrain Medical Center, Mexico.
His family will receive friends Friday from 4-6 p.m., at the Vandalia First Baptist Church Family Life Center. Private family interment services will be at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bienhoff Funeral Home, Perry.
Mr. Fitzpatrick was born June 8, 1947 in Vandalia, the son of Charles M. and Emma I. Watson Fitzpatrick. He was married to Donna Jean Stuart on Nov. 23, 1968 in Perry. She survives.
Other survivors include his parents of Vandalia; two daughters, Kelly Fitzpatrick of Kansas City and Brandy Holt and husband, Jason of Vandalia; two brothers, Nick Fitzpatrick and wife, Leann of Tibbetts and Rick Fitzpatrick and wife, Shirley of S.C.; two grandchildren, Logan Holt of Vandalia and Tori Fitzpatrick-Ent of Kansas City and his mother-in-law, Mary Stuart of Perry.
Mr. Fitzpatrick was a lifetime area resident and farmer. He was a 1965 graduate of Van-Far High School and a member of Hays Creek Christian Church.
He was employed at C&E Refractories for 13 years. He was a lifetime member of the Vandalia VFW Post.
He loved going mushroom hunting, fishing, and collecting pocket knives, key chains and John Deere toys.
