Lenora Faye Merrill, 83, died Friday, May 4, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital, St. Charles.
Graveside services will be at Vanzant Cemetery in Vanzant at 2 p.m., Wednesday with Bro. John Birkhead presiding.
Visitation will be held Tuesday at Immanuel Baptist Church, Bowling Green from 4-7 p.m.
She was daughter of the late Grant and Gladys Roper Hodge, was born Feb. 4, 1929 in Vera Cruz, in Douglas County. She was the beloved wife and life-long companion, and sweetheart of Eldon Merrill. They were united in marriage on June 22, 1947 in Kansas City. Eldon will sadly miss her to no end.
Lenora was the loving mother of John Mark Merrill of South Daytona, Fla., and Linda Sue Allison of St. Charles. She was also the loving grandmother to six grandchildren, James Allison, Jennifer Mellen, Brian Woods, Timothy Merrill, Jessica Merrill, and Erica Merrill.
She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, Zachary Allison, Ainsley Allison, Aeris Meadows, Guinevere Meadows, Rowan Meadows, Griffin Meadows, Rhiannon Mellen and the children of Brian Woods, Timothy Merrill and Jessica Merrill; several cousins, Ann Belt and husband, David, Pat Elliott, David Elliott and wife, Kyla, Aleta Harris and husband, Jerry, Dayna Harbin and husband, Greg, John Reece, Bill Reece and wife, Kathy, and Steve Reece and wife, Cindy; many cousins on her dad’s side of the family who reside on the west coast; numerous friends; church family; and a host of other relatives who will truly miss her.
Services will be conducted by Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove.
Besides her parents, Lenora was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Hodge; and a granddaughter, Victoria Mullen.
