Former Louisiana resident Stefanie Williams, 38, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at her home in Florissant.
Visitation was held on Friday at Hutchens Mortuary in Florissant. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery on Saturday.
Stefanie was born to Art and Jeanette Stein on Dec. 10, 1970 in St. Louis. She graduated from Louisiana High School in 1989.
Mrs. Williams worked at Fox Photo in St. Louis for several years. She enjoyed working with cameras and was a very skilled photographer. She especially loved capturing special moments from family gatherings on film and sending the printed pictures to her family members to enjoy. Her pictures will forever remain with her family as memories of not only the times they shared, but of the love that went into taking each picture.
Stefanie’s true passion, however, was her children. She was very active in her children’s lives. She never missed one of Brandon’s baseball games, Rachel’s dance recitals, Adam’s soccer games, or anything in which one of her children participated. She was well known by the other parents as a loving mother, an advocate for her children and one who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
She volunteered much of her free time to St. Sabina, her family’s church and school in Florissant. She was often the room mother in her children’s classrooms and was always one of the leaders at the church picnics and other events.
Stefanie is survived by her husband of 19 years, Gary; and her children, Brandon, Rachel and Adam, all of Florissant; her mother, Jeanette Stein of Louisiana, a brother, Tony Stein, and aunts, Tammy Chastain, Sandra Crail, Michele Foulkes, and Nanette Viehmann, all of St Louis.
