Bonnie Sue Cox

Bonnie Sue Cox, 78, of Bowling Green died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Visitation will be held from noon-1 p.m, Thursday at Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.

She was born Dec. 27, 1934 in Hannibal, the daughter of Archie and Juanita Jones Christal. She married Cecil Cox Dec. 29, 1961 in Hannibal.  He preceded her in death Oct. 7, 1987.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Cox of St. Joseph and Joe Cox of Tucson, Ariz,;  a step-son, Gary Cox of Louisiana; three daughters, Melody Cox of Nebo, N.C., Angela Cox of Patagonia, Ariz., and Twila Schuler of Bowling Green; a step-daughter, Sharon Mills of Louisiana; two brothers, David Christal of New London and Kenny Christal of Hannibal; two sisters, Nadine Werner of Bowling Green and Esther Hamilton of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Jersett, Adam Jersett, Christopher Jersett, Nathan Jersett, Jesse Craig, Ben Craig, Victoria Craig and Zac Schuler; great-grandchildren Jayson Craig, Jesse Craig Jr. and Jessica Craig.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Bernald Christal; and sisters, Virginia Runyon and Martha Kidd.

Bonnie grew up in Hannibal and graduated from Hannibal High School.  She later moved to Louisiana and Bowling Green.  She was a member of Abundant Life Fellowship.

She was a secretary and telephone operator.  She was a Cub Scout leader and homemaker, enjoyed crossword puzzles, I pad games and reading her Bible.

Bonnie loved to write and attend outings and spending time with her family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Cox, David Christal, Kenny Christal and Jerry Hamilton.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Michael Jersett, Adam Jersett, Chris Jersett, Thomas Jersett, Nathan Jersett, Jesse Craig, Ben Craig and Zac Schuler.

Memorial may be made to the Benefit for Zac Schuler, c/o Community State Bank of Bowling Green.
