Joy Annette McLaughlin, 65, of Louisiana died Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Kan.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery near Louisiana. The Rev. Randall Cone will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 9-9:45 a.m., at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana.
Joy was born Oct. 19, 1947 in Louisiana, the daughter of Ray and Frances Reeder Early.
She is survived by three sons, Dale McLaughlin and wife, Stacey of Troy, Shane McLaughlin of Louisiana and William McLaughlin of Raymore; a daughter, Kathy Johnson of Belton; three brothers, Ray Early and wife, Betty of Louisiana, Steve Early and wife, Lori of Louisiana and Sam Early and wife, Debbie of Frankford; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Karen Creech and Denise Early and a brother, Dale Early.
She graduated from the Bowling Green High School at Bowling Green. Later on she graduated from the Kansas City Community College in Kansas City, Kan., with an associates degree in nursing and had been employed as a registered nurse.
Pallbearers will be Shane McLaughlin, Dale McLaughlin, Josh Johnson, Steve Early, Shawn Early, Dana Early, Daney Early and James VonVain.
