Donald “Donny” W. Watts, II

Donald “Donny” W. Watts, II, 57, of Hannibal died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m., Friday at James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Chaplain David Mardis officiated. Burial was at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Visitation was from 11 a.m., until the time of services Friday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.

Donny was born Oct. 12, 1960, in Ft. Hood, Texas to Donald W. Watts, Sr. and Janice Reid Watts.

Survivors include his mother, Janice Watts of Bowling Green; four children, Brittney Watts-Juarez and husband, Carlos of Hannibal, Shelby Barragan and husband, Efrain of Hannibal, Lyndsay Watts of Hannibal, Brady Watts of Hannibal; Donny’s ex-wife and longtime friend, Cheryl Barnes Watts; two brothers, Robert Watts and wife, Pam of Bowling Green, and Wesley Watts and wife, Eisha of St. Charles; a sister, Kendra Schaffer and husband, Chris of Bowling Green; his grandmother-in-law, Linda McClellan of Bowling Green; and nine grandchildren, Makenzie, Macie, Averie, Ayden, Hailey, Reece, Berkley, Ellie and Zoiey.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald W. Watts, Sr., grandparents, Earl and Vivian Reid, Floyd and Nadine Watts and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alvin and Mary Lyn Barnes.

Donny worked as a meat cutter for over 15 years at County Market and prior to that he worked at Dura.

He enjoyed gardening, mowing his grass and just being outside. He also liked golfing with his son and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan.

Donny was a Christian by faith.

Pallbearers were Tyler Wade, Dustin Davis, Casey St. Clair, Dennis Noel, Jack Reid, and B.J. Platt. Honorary pallbearers were Carlos Juarez, Efrain Barragan, Bobby Ellis, Zachary Carnes, and Elmer Blair.
