Jimmy Tucker was named Associated Press Class 3 State football Coach of the Year for 2009.
Tucker is the head football coach for Bowling Green High School. Bowling Green finished this year 14-1 and Class 3 state runner-up.
He led Bowling Green to their first conference championship since 96, first district championship since 91, first ever 10-0 regular season in school history, first ever playoff win, and first ever state championship game appearance.
Tucker was also named North East Missouri District Coach of the year, and the KHQA coach of the year award.
A graduate of East Poinsett County High School in Lepanto, Ark., Tucker received his BSE in physical education from Arkansas State University, and received his master’s degree in educational administration from William Woods University in Fulton.
Tucker is the son of Jimmy and Sue Tucker who live in Lepanto, Ark.
