Lula Frances Clark

Lula Frances Clark, 93, of Vandalia went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Waters Funeral Home. Pastor Brian Lehenbauer officiated. Burial was in Vandalia Cemetery following the service.

The visitation celebrating Lula was from 10 a.m., until the time of service.
Lula was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Holbert, the daughter of Francis Scott Elder. She married Albert Ray Clark Aug. 3, 1945 and moved to Vandalia.
She is survived by her children, Charlotte and husband, Steve, Larry and wife, Chris, Georgie and husband, Sam, Sylvia and husband, Steve, Pat and Quiet, Henry, Mary, Keith and wife, Vickie; and foster children, Danielle and Nick. She has 28 grandchildren; 26 great-grand-children; and four great-great-grand-children along with great-nieces and a host of friends.
Lula is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Ray Clark, mother, Francis Elder, two children, Andy and Randy, grandson, Kyle Clark; and granddaughter, Norma Clark.

Lula’s greatest joys in life was serving God, her family, her church and her community. She contributed to many charities and she loved quilting, embroidery, latch hook, coloring books and puzzles. Most of what she made she donated. She was a foster parent for years. She sold Watkin and Blair products from her home for many years. She loved sending Christmas cards and all occasion cards. She loved fishing and gardening as well. She was loved and honored by many people.

Her selfless devotion to God will be what she will always be remembered best for.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Randy Smith, Timmy Chatman, Dameun Chatman, Jeffery Chatman, Louis Clark, and Jonathan Clark. Alternate pallbearers are Kehen Clark, Jerimiah Clark, Stewart Ed-wards, Sean Edwards, Derrick Miller, Mackson Ncube, DeAnthony Weir, and DeMarcus J. Weir.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with the purchase of a grave marker, c/o Wa-ters Funeral Home.
