Pamela Sue (Walker) Kerr, 55, of Bowling Green, died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.
She was born June 12, 1955 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Hannibal, daughter of Joe Walker and Hazel M. Walker Kerr.
Sue lived most of her live in Vandalia. She was an active member of United Methodist Church of Bowling Green. She worked as a CAN most of her life as well as a home health aide. Sue enjoyed going to church, reading the bible, cooking, watching cooking shows on Food Network, playing bingo, talking on the phone, shopping, socializing with people in her neighborhood, going to the park, eating out and visiting with family and friends.
Sue was a very caring individual who would extend help in any way that she could in those in need. She was very family-oriented and loved her family and friends very much. Although, Sue did not have any children of her own she always took a special interest in her nieces and nephews. She was very passionate about Civil Rights and was very protective of those she loved.
She leaves her beloved brothers and sisters, Joe Walker and wife, Elisabeth, Anthony Walker and wife, Victoria, Bernard Walker and wife, Shelia, Kenard Walker, Lori Cockrell and husband, Aaron, and Renae Davis of Chicago, Ill. She also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Sue was preceded in death by mother Hazel M. Walker Kerr, brother Gary Davis and biological father Verdell Davis.
Services were held on July 24, 2010 at First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Vandalia with the Rev. Cathy Redmond presiding. Interment was held at the Vandalia Cemetery.
